Trick or Treat 🎃

5 9 21 1 1

Trick or treat. Version 5.1.1 (beta) dresses Rewardly up for Halloween until November 8, and 36 smaller changes sit underneath: Notik's offerwall is back, earning notifications name the offer, the step or the partner, and push notifications show up again while Rewardly is in the background or closed.

Halloween Comes to Rewardly

Until November 8, Rewardly is dressed for the season. Cobwebs gather in the corners, pumpkins perch on buttons, lanterns and spiders dangle from above, and bats fly past now and then. Avatars wear costumes, reactions turn into pumpkins, witches and ghosts, and progress bars fill with candy corn.

Choose how much goes on from Account settings, the site footer or the Preferences menu: Whisper shows only the decorations, with nothing moving by itself; Haunt adds bats and other surprises now and then; and Full moon keeps everything gently moving. Off puts it all away, the No spiders switch keeps spiders out, and with Reduce motion on, nothing moves.

An illustration of Rewardly at night: a witch on a broom crosses a full moon among bats, and the app window wears a witch hat on its logo, a black cat on its header, a hanging lantern and pumpkin, cobwebs, a pumpkin on a card and another on a green button beside candy corn, a candy-corn progress bar, an avatar in a witch hat above Halloween reactions, a dangling spider, a sleeping bat and a ghost. Beside it, a panel offers Off, Whisper, Haunt and Full moon with a No spiders switch, and lit pumpkins glow on the hill below while two eyes watch from a bush

Added 4
  • Notik is back: Notik's offerwall returns to the Earn page, along with its offers in the Offers list and its surveys on the Surveys page.
  • Coins reversed: a new notification tells you when a partner takes back coins it paid you for an offer or survey.
  • Signing in from another app: when you open Rewardly inside Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or another app's built-in browser, the Log In and Sign Up pages explain that Google sign-in doesn't work there, with buttons to copy the page link and, on Android, to open it in Chrome.
  • Raffle prizes (Labs): the raffle page shows up to three of the prize's details under its name, then View in shop while you can buy it there, and its Steam Market, Inspect, Workshop or Wiki links.
Changed 9
  • Item variants, grouped by kind: an item's Variants tab has a section per kind, such as StatTrak™ and Souvenir for Counter-Strike 2 or Australium and Killstreak for Team Fortress 2, each with its in-stock count, and marks the item you're viewing in its place among them.
  • Multi-step offers: the notification for each step names it, such as "Task 2 of 15 in Time Master", and keeps "Offer completed!" for the last one.
  • Survey notifications: they read "a survey on TheoremReach" instead of repeating the survey's label, and screen-outs, profilers and PixelPoint.tv or Cheddar.tv videos have their own wording.
  • Earnings without an offer name: a partner's own bonus, and any other earning without a readable offer name, reads "You earned 7 coins on MyChips" instead of showing a code or a placeholder like "Offerwall".
  • One wording everywhere: the notification list, the header's notification menu, the Level page's XP history and the Overview describe an earning exactly as its push does, in every language and for older earnings too, and each notification ends in a full stop.
  • Transactions: the partner's name shows in place of a code or a placeholder, and offer names drop tails such as " - iOS".
  • Badge and quest tiers: a hidden tier now shows once you reach the tier before it, so the first tier always shows and no card reads "Hidden until you unlock it".
  • Easier taps: See All, Browse Popular and the other links beside a section's title are easier to tap on phones.
  • New screenshots: every screenshot on Google Play, the App Store and the Microsoft Store, and the screenshots inside the app, show Rewardly's current look and new designs.
Fixed 21
  • Push notifications: they often didn't show up, or made no sound, while Rewardly was in the background or closed. A new notification of the same kind now alerts you again instead of silently replacing the last one, unless it arrives within a minute of it.
  • "1 coins": earning notifications said "1 coins" for a single coin.
  • Search and @mentions: search stopped working in a tab left open for more than an hour, and @mention suggestions listed you and showed everyone with the default picture.
  • Overview: the level number on the Level and XP badge showed dark in the light theme, and the highlighted words in a quest's description now open that quest, like the rest of its row.
  • Featured Games & Offers: a new member's featured offers sat behind other offers on the Overview, where a smaller screen could hide them.
  • Card shadows: they were cut off in a straight line at the edges of the Overview's sliders, the Shop's Popular and Latest Items, the Leaderboard podium on phones and a case's item list.
  • Long names: they overlapped the time or ran off the card in Messages, the Global Chat, the header's Messages menu, posts and comments. A long name now shortens to fit, and the @handle and verified badge match the name's size with the same spacing everywhere.
  • Level rings and raffles: the level ring around other members' avatars showed outdated XP progress on their profiles, hover cards, search results and raffles, and your own raffle entry showed as a deleted account when your profile is private.
  • Item pictures on phones: an item's picture zoomed in after you picked another variant.
  • Team Fortress 2 item names: in several languages, a translated name after a quality such as Haunted or Strange kept Valve's article, and items whose English name starts with "The" put it before their translated name.
  • The Shop for visitors: every category tile after the first showed its count twice.
  • GemiAd: its offers showed a dark dot instead of GemiAd's color in the header search and in Your Offers.
  • Ways to Earn: Adscend Media appeared twice in the partner list.
  • Polls: Remove poll in the post composer briefly snapped the poll back open, with its picture boxes fading out, before it disappeared.
  • Cookie preferences: the switches sat above their rows once an offer's details had been opened.
  • Missing icons: the Home button on the Log In and Sign Up pages, Reset All in the Shop's filters and Reset Filters on the Badges and Quests pages had no icon.
  • Light theme: the X that deletes a notification, Edit Profile's character counters and the countdown to your next username change were invisible.
  • Bug reports: the X that removes the screenshot was faint in the dark theme and vanished while a report was sending.
  • Leaderboard in Japanese: the bar with your own rank stacked its coins one character per line on wide screens.
  • Steam linking: linking a Steam account already linked to another account, or after the request had expired, now shows its own message.
  • Strict browsers: Rewardly could still fail to start in a browser that blocks site data, and search there could not load.
Removed 1
  • Community pick on raffle cards (Labs): raffle cards no longer read "Community pick · N votes" under the item's game.
Optimized 1
  • Lighter pages for visitors: the Overview, Quests, Badges, Shop and start screen pages are smaller for visitors who aren't signed in, since they now carry names and descriptions in the page's own language only instead of all 24.
